I bought Mortal Kombat X (despite not including DLC) over XL (due to XL not including the DLC as well; also, I don’t think you can play Story Mode at once like on X). This game is SO full of bloody hardcore violence. I totally LOVE lots of the fatalities (even though some of them are really disgusting). Story Mode is also fun to do. I am so happy that Scorpion has been redeemed (as well as murdering Quan Chi), as well as being able to fight Shinnok in his CORRUPTED form. I am sure that there are other ways the revenant characters will be turned back to normal in some game.

Awesome!

I have played Mortal Kombat since the original version came out when I was a kid, and I love this version. You pick your character like normal, but you can choose from 3 different versions of that character, and have tons of level options. The fatalities are super complex and graphic and the characters talk a bunch of [email protected] to each other. It is still not overly gory and more cartoonish, so it’s not too graphic for kids to play. Love this game!!

A classic

One of my favorite games. The action and mechanics are really well done. The graphics are top-tier, but what I love most are the new characters. Leatherface, Jason, Carl Weathers (Jax), Predator, and Alien are incredibly fun characters to use in the game, especially for horror fanatics like myself. Of course I would’ve liked to see Michael Myers in there as well, but overall this game is a must have.

Good Entry Fighting Game

You can tell this game was designed with the competitive fighting game player in mind, but it gives a lot of story along side it to feel compelling. The story is all in all a great experience with many cutscenes to help sell the immersion along side many, many fights. The only thing lacking is diversity when it comes to the single player, as the whole story experience is just 1v1 fights, with nothing special along the way.

While no where near perfect, I’m having a blast with this new Mortal Kombat. Just when the series was getting tired again, the new characters, fresh worlds, interesting story (though a bit short and campy) breathe new life into the series.

Best MK ever

Mortal Kombat has been a tradition w me and my brothers since MK1. This is the best MK game I have ever played. The single player story mode is a little weak. Way too many cut scenes; too much dialogue. Not enough fighting. But whatever. You buy MK to duke it out w your friends and online. Not for a story mode. And the Krypt thing is pretty fun to mess around w.

Plays exactly like Injustice: Gods Among Us with MK characters and much more gore. Fantastic game!

I am not known for my love of fighting games. This game is different. I typically get very frustrated in trying to hit combos and such in other fighting games, but this one seems to be much easier to pull off combos. Fatalities are much, much easier to accomplish that what I have experienced with previous MK games. I will definitely be keeping this game for a long time. The replay value is extremely high. If you’ve play Injustice: Gods Among Us, this is the exact same game, except with MK characters and much more gore.

I have been playing Mortal Kombat since the original came out in the early ’90’s. I got the last one on Xbox 360 and enjoyed it, but this one is superior to any other one I have played. I never thought a fighting game would have a half-way decent story for a chage with characters that are very relatable, especially Johnny Cage and Jax. The controls are easy to pick up, but pulling off some of the more advanced moves and fatalities is difficult for me on the analog sticks on the Xbox One controller, better to use the D-Pad. The X-Ray moves are very gratifying and never get old to watch and are almost as gory as the Fatalities or Brutalities. I would recommend this game to people who love the series and those new to it as well.

Pretty great, as usual with Mortal Kombat.

Compared to the other previous games in the series, this one adds a few new twists. Like having to pick one of 3 options when selecting a character that all have their own little perk. On the downside though, I miss some of the old moves from the last game, especially for Scorpion.

My son loves this game. He plays it almost everyday. It is also one of my favorite games of all times. The game is very brutle, so if you have young kids I would not recommend this game.
