Horror Done Right

There are few titles that can match this kind of horror genre. Definitely, some Resident Evil titles entirely missed the menacing feel and look, deeply woven into this game.

Shinji Mikami delivers another excellent horror game!

I absolutely love this game. While this may not be as good as Resident Evil 4 (which I’m sure many will compare this game to it) I find it has it’s own identity. This game has a great overall atmosphere, and while it may not be a scary horror game, it still has that creepy survival horror vibe to it that makes the genre so great. Control is a bit janky, and it is easy to die in this game. This game is tough, and you WILL die a lot. Story is a bit confusing, but I still found it to be a nice ride overall. Great soundtrack, too. If you are a fan of Shinji Mikami and a fan of survival horror in general, you should by all means pick up this amazing game.

Good title, tough times.

Solid gameplay for fans of the genre. Turned out I wasn’t one. Your ammo, as everyone says, is limited, and you are often forced to hide in order to survive. I just strongly suggest surviving… save points/checkpoints are sparse in this title. What I did love was how far ahead you have to think to dodge certain enemies, while still collecting items and passing story requirements!

This game reminds me a lot of Resident Evil 4. I’ve played every RE game except 6, and from what I’ve read, 6 is terrible. Evil Within is a creepy yet cool game. I like the exploration aspect and the little puzzles that are thrown at you. This is the type of game that keeps me coming back for more. If you like survival horror type games, this game is a must try.

Great Survival Horror Game

This game is excellent, never played a survival horror game until this one. Played through it on Xbox 360 beat it, liked it so much I got it for xbox one. Can’t wait for the next one. Tense moments, decent story, and good weapon selection. Has some replay ability once you beat it through the first time.

Good but can be cheap at times

A challenging 3rd person game, not a whole lot of direct attacks, majority of game is sneaking around enemies. Graphics are good, but not up to par compared to other recently released xbox one games. Mechanics are a little clunky also, but overall I would recommend this game if you like gory, edge of your seat horror. This game is VERY graphic so you should you discretion when playing around younger persons.

Immersive and challenging

I really enjoyed this game from beginning to end. Excellent story and enough of a challenge (survival mode) to keep me coming back until I finished it. It took me about 26 hours to complete and that was with a fair amount of exploring. It is one of the rare games I could see myself replaying as well.
